EMV MIGRATION:
The
Bankcard Associations-VISA and MASTER CARD have been leading the
card Issuing
and Acquiring Banks to incorporate more security measures in their
systems. The global
EMV migration plan by EMVco is a step in the direction of increasing
security levels.
The immediate task faced by card acquiring banks are
migration to EMV 2000 level by
dates specified by EMVco. This is a major task for countries already
having a mature
population of EDC/EFT terminals and ATMs and among about 20m such
EDCs across the
globe approximately
12m have to be replaced by 2005.
EMV
CERTIFICATION:
As
per the migration calendar of the associates, It is mandatory for
any new card acceptanceterminal to be deployed to be certified by
EMV for both level I and Level II.
In fact, it is aprofessional milestone and proud moment for AMDL as
it has completed
both Level I and Level
II certification of its terminal. Its not out of place that AMDL
is
the FIRST
and, so far,THE
ONLY TERMINAL MANUFACTURER FROM
INDIA

It is also the first vendor in the world to be certified for version

Thus
all the three types of products promoted by banks i.e. the credit,
debit and

developed and
